Dr. Haroon Shahid (Reveal Weight Loss)

Dr. Haroon Shahid is a certified gastroenterologist specializing in advanced endoscopic procedures, particularly non-surgical weight loss treatments. He holds certifications in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology/Hepatology. His medical journey began at Rutgers University for his undergraduate studies, followed by medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School). Dr. Shahid completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He then pursued further specialization with fellowships in Gastroenterology and a specialized Advanced Endoscopy fellowship, focusing on endoscopic bariatric procedures, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Dr. Shahid has shown exceptional proficiency in advanced endoscopy, participating in numerous research projects. During his time at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, he played a significant role in teaching residents and gastroenterology fellows, serving as the Director of Endoscopic Ultrasound from 2017 to 2023. He co-directed the 2022 Mid-Atlantic Gastrointestinal Interventional Course (MAGIC) and the inaugural Emerging Pancreatic Innovations Conference (EPIC) in New Jersey. Dr. Shahid also contributed as a speaker at New Jersey’s first conference dedicated to endoscopic bariatric treatments, the Mid-Atlantic Bariatric Endoscopy Course (MALBEC). Throughout his tenure at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Dr. Shahid has conducted numerous endoscopic bariatric procedures.
